Work monday the 2 of november

I am taking care of a sick boy today

Please watch these videos and answer the questions below

Answers to the uestions MUST be send to me on skoleplan today

1) Describe an atomic model as it was seen before quantom physics changed everything

2) Why is it called quantum?

3) If we can't describe electrons only as particles, how can we then see them?

4) What is the name of the first orbital, and how many electrons can there be

5) Can you describe Helium in terms of electrons and orbitals?

6) Describe the octet rule?

7) What is Ioniziation energy?

8)  Can you describe the electron from the theory of the electron field and waves?

The watch this video that describe Chapter 2, and use this for describing as many of the seperation techniques as you can.

Your description of these must also be included in the answers to me.

Waves for combined science 30/9

Dear students. I am off on a course. The work for today can be found on this page.

The first video is one I've made trying to cover the basic of waves.

Don't laugh. It's my first try at this kind of video :)

This one on refraction:

This one one on diffraction

This one on sound

And this one on the electromagnetic spectrum

Read page: 166 to 173

and

Page: 178 to 184 and  191 to 194

marine science 2

Work for tuesday in marine Science

If you haven't turned in your homework from last week, the assignment is here

Work for today:

Watch This video about Carbon and chemistry

And then this wonderfull video about water

Make good notes to both videos

If you have more time, continue to read the chapter, as we will be working a lot with it in the weeks to come.

Have a wonderful day

marine science, homework for 24/9

Dear students. The work for today is:

Make a detailed drawing of the ocean floor, marking as many of the elements as you can. Send it to me by skoleplan or E-mail.

Answer the following questions, as detailed as you can, and send them to me in an E -mail or with skoleplan:

  1. Define the difference between divergent and convergent boundaries, and how the different type of boundaries affect the arcitecture of the sea floor.
  2. Describe how hot spots can form new islands
  3. How do we belive atolls are formed?
  4. How do particle size affect how fast sediments settle on the sea floor?
  5. Can you design an experiment that could help us show how fast sediments settle?
  6. On page 101 there is a figure of the Hjulstrøm diagram. Explain it in your own words?
  7. How are the different forms of biogenous sediments formed?
  8. Why are coastal marine sediments richer in terrigenous sediments than deep ocean sediments?
Homework for next week:

Read page 113-118.
Make notes when you read it. Have fun.

Work on wedensday

Dear students

I am on a course in Combined Science at another school today, so I'm not here to teach you.

The lesson for today can instead be found here, on this website

The goal for today is to be able to explain the following:

1 Describe what is meant by wave motion as illustrated by vibration in ropes and springs and by experiments using water waves.

2 Distinguish between transverse and longitudinal waves and give suitable examples.

3 State the meaning of and use the terms speed, frequency, wavelength and amplitude.

 4 Recall and use the equation v = f X λ

5 Identify how a wave can be reflected off a plane barrier and can change direction as its speed changes.

The ressources for this task can be found here:

Transversal and longiturnal waves

Features of transversal waves

Features of  longiturnal waves

Reflection of waves

The wave equation

You can also read all this in the book on page :
200 to 207

Do exercise :

14.1 and 14.2

How much caffeine in coffee?

We worked with caffeine in combined science a few weeks ago But how much caffeine is there in coffee and how does it work?
